     Aug 23 1921 - Mr. Eastman’s store at Bazaar shines with a new coat of paint.

     Esther Mollohan of Cedar Point and Curtis Snedegar of Matfield Green are united in marriage.

     Mr. & Mrs F. C. Adams, managers of the County farm, south of Elmdale, have resigned. They will be moving soon.

     Aug 30 - A hot day in Chase County - 103 degrees.

     An ice cream social will be held at the Canaan school house. Everybody invited.

     Sep 2 - Sarah Jane Russell died at the home of her daughter. She formerly lived at Bazaar and is survived by four children.

     Helen Marie is the name of a baby daughter of Mr. & Mrs Jesse Long of this city.

     Sep 6 - Ruby Louise Crocker of Matfield Green and Clifford Gallaher of Perth, Ks. are married.

     Sep 9 - Miss Josie Baker opened her school at New Hope.

     Opal Gaddie and Ella Schrumpff will leave for Manhattan, where they will attend the State Agricultural College.

     Sep 13 - 30 men are working hard on the football team at the Chase County High school.

     Mr. & Mrs. W. E. Whipkey of Saffordville were hired by the County Commissioners to take charge of the home of the county farm, south of Elmdale.

     Sep 2 - Homer Lee Prather, son of Silas H. & Emma Rankin Prather has died at Axtell Hospital in Newton, age 47.

     The Hilton Pharmacy is being remodeled.

     Sep 23 - Nearly every business house in Cottonwood Falls will be closed in order to allow the employees to attend the opening gridiron contest between Cottonwood Falls and Peabody.

     Sep 27 - Captain Harold Miller of the Chase County High School football team made five of the six touchdowns played with Peabody. Score 40 to 0.

     Mae Waddell and C. H. Wadsworth, both of this city are wed.

     Oct 4 - Chase County exhibits taken to all fairs has rated high.

     A very permanent judging stand has been built at the fair grounds. Also, thirty thousand feet of new lumber have been used in constructing the buildings of various kinds.

     Oct 7 - Clements took the final baseball game played for the season, beating Strong City 15 to 5.
