     Oct 7 1921 - Clements took the final game played for the season heating Strong City 15-5.

     Banks in this city will close for the Fair at 2 PM. Business houses will close from 1 pm until 5 pm.

     Oct 11-The John Bechelmayr house on the Prather Ranch was almost completely burned.

     A musical clown will be a free attraction at the fair.

     All hotels have been filled for days in Cottonwood Falls and Strong City due to the fair.

     Oct 14 - Estimate 2,500 on first two days of the fair.

     Oct 21 - Last day of fair drew approximately 4,500 people to the first county fair. 1,185 automobiles were on the grounds.

     AD - Wrigley’s P-K’s gum 10 pieces for 5 cents.

     Oct 25 - Frank Yeager, prominent cattleman, dies at Wichita. He was operated on for appendicitis three weeks ago, when he suddenly became worse with a blood clot on his brain. He leaves, beside his wife, five children, Mrs Frank Cooper, James, Earl, and Katherine and George Yeager and Charles Yeager, all of whom live at Bazaar.

     Nov 4 - Seven head of valuable horses were burned to death when the big barn of N. H. Stout burned down.

     Nov 11- Gerald Estell Talkington, son of Mr. & Mrs Albert Talkington, who lived on the Prather Ranch east of Clements has died at his parents home.

     Nov 5 - Strong City has been without water for four days, pumping from the river. This water has to be boiled before drinking.

     Nov 18 - Arthur Crocker, Jr. of Matfield Green and Clara K. Ramsey of ElDorado were wed.

     Nov 29 - A Frontier Day and Round Up will be staged on the Fair grounds by a company know as “Hook—Em High Outfit” from Cow creek Reservation of South Dakota.

     Dec 9 - Mrs James Lind died at her home near Saffordville. Her maiden name was Sarah Matilda Stone. She is survived by three children, John and Fred Lind, Mrs Nell O’Daniel and her husband.

     John Umberger is elected as Captain of the football team at Chase County High School for the 1922 season.

     Dec 13 - Doctor and Mrs Hoover of Saffordville gave a party for the football boys. Each took a lady.

     Dec 23 - Henry Hegwer, Pioneer, soldier, scout, Indian fighter, stage driver, buffalo hunter and business man died. Henry was an old time Chase County resident.

     Dec 27 - Fred Willey and Frank Brennan were skating on the Cottonwood River; they hit thin ice and were drown.

     Dec 30 - Mr. & Mrs Art Wyatt of Neva had a baby boy born Christmas eve.
