     Jun 23 1922 - John Ice of Cedar Point and Myrtle Freeborn of Florence are wed.


     Jun 30 - Kenneth, eighteen months old son of Mr. & Mrs Paul Stubenhofer who lives several miles west of Strong City has died.


     Jul 4 - J. A. Reifsnyder died at the Santa Fe hospital in Topeka.


     Jul 7 - Mrs Arch Miller passed away from acute indigestion. Mrs Miller was 85 years old. Her maiden name was Mary McNee.


     Jul 25 - Peter Caress one of the oldest residents of the Homestead neighborhood died at his home.


     Aug 1 - County has only two weeks coal supply left.


     Aug 8 - Lois Wood and Clarence McCandless of Cottonwood Falls are married.


     Aug 11 - Born to Mr. & Mrs Fred Smith of Clements, two six pound baby boys.


     Aug 15 - Born to Mr. & Mrs Milburn Cooper of Bazaar a brand new ten pound baby boy.


     Aug 22 - Word has been received here of the death of Cal (Babe) Evans, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born and raised in this county and is a brother of Homer Evans of Buck creek.


     Aug 25 - Mrs E. B. Remy dies at Strong City. She leaves to mourn a husband, five sons, Chas. A. Remy, Strong City; Richard B. Remy, Emporia; Hoyt E. Remy, Burdick; Lloyd L. Remy, Emporia; and Ralph Wayne Remy, of Strong City.


     Mrs Sarah Crook, an elderly resident of Saffordville, died at her home.


     Sep 5 - August of 1922 was the dryest and hottest for many years.


     Sep 8 - The Chase County Fair is better than ever this year.


     Sep 19 - The Golden Wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs W. P. Evans was celebrated


     Strong City has new parking arrangements. No parking in the middle of the street from now on. Parking to the curb only.


     Sep 22 - There are no gates to open into the McDowell orchard but there are some very nice apples there.


     Sep 29 - Born to Mr. & Mrs John Scribner of Saffordville, a daughter.


     Oct 6 - Fire of unknown origin destroys four buildings and threatens mill at Cedar Point. Bank, meat market, barber shop, and Cresses stores in ashes. Damage estimated at $20,000.


     Elmdale high school library has just been re-organized and is ready for use.


     The infant son of Mr. & Mrs George Whitcomb of Cedar Point who was born last week, died of jaundice.


     Oct 10 - Mr. & Mrs Ray Patton of Homestead have a new son, their second and he has been named Chad Ray.


     Oct 13 - Two cases of scarlet fever reported in Strong City.


     Oct 27 - Curbing spaces are marked off in Strong City.
