     1925 - 1926

     Dec 25 1925 - Frank Gaddie, Jr. of Bazaar will head the football team of the Chase County Community High School next year. Frank is a Junior and plays end.

     Feb 29 - Mrs Carrie Sharp, 81, died at Bazaar. She is survived by two children, Jay Sharp and Mrs N. E. Galentine, both of Bazaar.

     Jan 1 1925 - Rural schools of this county are to be inspected for standardization.

     1925 - was a very good profitable year for cattlemen and farmers.

     Jan 13 - Marriages - Seward Baker and Flora E. Dey and Jack Vansickle and Alice Drinkwater.

     Jan 20 - W. C. “Con” Harvey of Strong City was found dead at his home.

     Jan 27 - Dr. R. H. Carver, Chirapractor has opened an office in this city.

     Feb 3 - Sidney Symes will hold a public sale at his farm on Middle creek. He will sell horses, mules, cows, stock and farm implements.

     Feb 10 - Dr. T. F. Johnson died at his home in this city. Dr. Johnson resided in Elmdale and Cottonwood for many years.

     Carl Wyatt and Gladys Stout were quietly married.

     Feb 17 - The Mendenhalls have a growing egg and chick business.

     Mr. & Mrs N. M. Patton of Wonsevu will celebrated their 50th. wedding anniversary.

     Feb 24 - Night school at Chase County Community High School has many students

     One of the finest holstein herds in the state has been added to the Clover Cliff Ranch.

     The City of Cottonwood Falls will build a new city hall and fire house on the site of the old fire house on the east side of Broadway. It will be of brick.

     Mar 10 - The county wood pile solves the beggar problem.

     Mar 17 - The ice “crop” here has been a complete failure this winter.

     3—31— Clover Cliff Ranch is to have a model dairy.

     Apr 7 - Clements second school bond election was stopped by an injunction served on the members of the school board by the sheriff. The purpose of voting on the $35,000 bond issue to be used for the purpose of building another unit to the existing school building.

     Apr 14 - Peter McCallum has passed away. Mr. McCallum bought his farm in 1885 and it has been his home since.

     W. P. Rettiger was re-elected director of the Strong City schools.

     4—21 - Cottonwood Falls and Strong City and others will soon have a fine golf course. A five-years lease on the Alvin Stanbrough farm southeast of this city has been secured.

     Easter snow storm causes cattle loss.

     1 - 28 Strong City will celebrate the completion of the paving of its main business street by the holding of a big dance.
