     Oct 27 1926 - Walter 0. Buffington of Bazaar is a Republican candidate for County Clerk.

     Tim McNee is building a brick one and one-half bungalow south of the Gregory residence.

     Nov 3 - The Cottonwood Falls Chamber of Commerce has given a barbeque for the 4-H Clubs of the county. 150 were present.

     Nov 10 - Fair stockholders are asked to pay the deficit. This is the first bime in six years it has not paid out.

     Abbie Sharp McCabe, a pioneer has passed to her rest and reward.

     Nov 17 - W. W. Harvey, who is widely known in Chase County died at his home near Strong City after a long illness.

     Miss Dorothy Arnold and Dale Trayer were wed in June. Their secret has just been discovered.

     Dec 15 - Mrs Craig (Susie Kyle) Drummond and baby have died.

     Dec 22 - Earl Harman who recently purchased the Odeon theatre building and equipment from M. K. Harman is showing good “movies".

     Jan 5 - 1927 - 38 year old Walter Matti dies suddenly.

     Mr. & Mrs Andy Tarrant of Matfield Green have a New Year’s baby girl.

     Jan 17 - Mrs Lora Messes died at her home at Wonsevu.

     Jim Way was appointed as postmaster of Elmdale.

     Jan 29 - Sheriff Oliver Burton made his first booze raid in Strong City.

     Mar 2 - Clements has an epidemic of measles.

     Mar 9 - Deaths; T. E. Sayre and Wit Adair.

     Mar -23 - “The Womanless Wedding” put on at the Strong City Auditorium and at the city school has been a great success. The cast was made up of more than seventy men of Strong City, Cottonwood Falls and the vicinity.

     Dr. J. F. Shelley of Elmdale has been awarded the medical contract to the poor of Diamond creek township and the poor farm.

     The commissioners granted Maude Newlee Post of the American Legion and Auxillary the rights to erect on the courthouse grounds a monument as a memorial for the dead soldiers of Chase Co.

     Mar 30 - Bazaar school house almost totally destroyed by fire. The fire department rushed to the scene and extinguished it before any damage was done.

     Apr 6 - Miss Esther Rettiger will head the Women’s Auxiliary of the Russell Post of the American Legion of Strong City as President.

     Apr 6 - A beautiful granite memorial bearing the names of the soldiers and nurses from Chase Co. who lost their lives during war will be erected on the courthouse square.
