     Feb 8 1933 - Chase County now has 120 miles of graveled highways.

     Feb 15 - Thieves steal a large supply of coal from the Canaan school.

     Feb 22 - Clements school will remain closed another week on account of an epidemic of scarlet fever.

     Mar 1 - Strong City’s basketball team beats Chase County Community High again in a fast game 28 to 23.

     George Selves died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Lewis Wheeler, south of this city.

     Chase County receives more Federal Relief money. This was the fourth quota paid to Chase County.

     A large class room has been built on the east end of the Presbyterian church in this city for the Keystone Sunday School class which is taught by Miss Janet McNee.

     Mar 8 - Fred Wagoner, of this city, has opened a milk route in this county.

     Mar 15 - Official notice is hereby given that on and after March 25 all chickens in the city of Cottonwood Falls must be properly penned up and not allowed to run at large.

     The Red Cross flour is nearly all given out.

     Mar 22 - Miss Florence Evans becomes the bride of Junior Prather.

     Mar 29 - The new state law reducing the salaries of county officials and Clerks which was enacted by the state legislature during the closing days of the season will cut the pay envelope of Chase County officials sharply.

     Chase County now has 16 standarized schools.

     Apr 5 - L. L. Chandler was elected Mayor of Cottonwood Falls, & J. A. Mann, Police Judge.

     Murial Dean youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs A. W. Dean of Elmdale, and Paul W. Stephenson, of Clements are wed at Manhattan, Ks.

     Apr 12 - Wayne Keller buys the Eureka building on the corner of Broadway & East Pearl. He will tear down the old landmark and replace it with a super service filling station.

     Apr 19 - The rural high schools of Chase County give their first music festival and it draws a big crowd.

     Beginning April 23rd the Santa Fe will put on two new passenger trains between Newton and Kansas City.

     May 3 - The mixed quartet of the Chase County Community High School, received a real honor at the Emporia music competition festival when they were given the highest ranking among a group of 13 schools entered.

     The Gregory farm east of this city was sold to Ludwig Nelson, of Wichita.

     Jule Treimer of Strong City and Paul Wood, of this city will graduate from the University of Kansas at Lawrence.
