Oct 18 1933 - The government has been contributing pork to needy families of Chase County.
Nov 11 - Deaths; Mrs W. H. Cartter, Charles Shaft, & Mrs Martha Anderson.
Mr. & Mrs Clifford Bastin of Elmdale are the parents of a baby boy.
The marriage of Miss Ella Mae Britain and Mr. Edgar C. Heath is held.
Nov 8 - Probate Judge T. G. Allen died at his home in this City following
a short illness of only five days. He devoted most of his life to public
services as educator and counselor.
Toledo Township Rural High School receives grant for a new building. Will start paving 50 S. soon.
Nov 15 - S. H. Baker has been appointed Probate Judge to fill the vacancy made by the death of T. G. Allen.
The red-shirted football team of Strong Rural High School won its first game from its arch rival Chase County Cornmunity High School, 7 to 0. The list of unemployed in Chase County is increasing each week.
Nov 22 - Mr. & Mrs Albert Odle, of Homestead who recently adopted two children, a boy and a girl have adopted a third child, a four year old boy who is a brother of the girl and boy.
Nov 29 - Elmore Stout, well known 4-H Club member will be given a free trip to Chicago to attend the National Club Congress.
Grandma Bahr, a resident of Chase County for 53 years passed away at the home of her sons, Pete and Gus Bahr, west of Bazaar. Two other children survive, Wm. Fillmore and Mrs 0. Burton.
Dwight Weaver of this city, and Miss Bertha Collins of Strong City were married. Dwight was born on the Clover Cliff Ranch and has lived in this county all his life.
Dec 6 - The Matfield Green community was saddened when word came that Thomas
Vinson, Jr., had passed away. He was a senior in the Matfield Green Rural
High School.
Dec 13 - Vern Riggs is elected as the new fire chief of the Cottonwood Falls volunteer fire department. Henry Giese and Charles Remy were re-elected Assistant Chief and Secretary, respectively.
B. M. Garth, Strong City hardware merchant, is retiring from active business.
Dec 20 - No contract yet on the new Toledo high school building.
Dec 27 - Mrs Riley Pendergraft died at the Pendergraft home on Peyton creek.
