     Jan 24 1951 - Jim Fisher from Cedar Point is a promising freshman at Emporia State.


     Jan 31 - Arthur Roy Hull was born in 1900 at Matfield Green, son of Mr. and Mrs Fred Hull passed away at the age of 50 in Omaha, Nebraska.


     Feb 7 - Mr. & Mrs Elmer Ludwig of Cedar Point are the parents of a son, Mark Alan.


     Feb 14 - Rhoda Ruth Whitcomb of Cedar Point and Bonnie Lee McCabe, receive their nurses caps at Newman Hospital at Emporia.


     Feb 21 - Edgar Vincent Cooper and Keith M. Donelson of Saffordville have enlisted in the Navy.


     Miss Anna Marie Stahl became the bride of Walter E. Green. They will make their home in Elmdale.


     Feb 28 - Mr. & Mrs Dan Matile are the parents of a son.


     Mar 7 - David Bennett, 15, son of Mr. & Mrs Paul Bennett won first place in the piano audition held at the College of Emporia.


     Richard L. Littler takes a pretty Miss Ora Lou Drinkwater as his bride.


     Volume three will be published by the Chase County Historical Society as enough material has been gathered.


     Mar 14 - June Talkington, Matfield Green is home on furlough, from Camp Polk, La.


     Mar 21 - William Jesse Studer arrived at the Stubenhofer home; parents Mr. & Mrs Johnnie Studer of Prairie Hill will take him home.


     Mar 28 - Charles McCabe of the Bazaar 4-H won first place in individual demon-district 4-H Festival held at Chase County Community High School.


     Apr 4 - E. C. Crofoot has bought the Nat Scribner farm between Cottonwood Falls and Strong City.


     Eddie Cahoone of this city and J. C. Morgan of Cedar Point have finished their boot training and are home on leave.


     4-11 - Mr. & Mrs Roland Bowers of Cedar Point are the proud parents of Myrna Marie.


     May 2 - Evert A. Stout of rural Cottonwood Falls has passed away.


     For Sale — Feathers - Katherine Roniger.


     May 9 - Chase County gained a small amount in population in 1951, p. 5,059.


     May 16 - Roy Moore will be the Cottonwood Falls City Marshal on June 1st.


     Mr. & Mrs Carl Nurnberg, Saffordville have a new son, Howard Dean and Mr. & Mrs John Busselle of Cottonwood Falls, a daughter, Marcia Sue.


     May 23 - Surprise party for Windy & Brownie Pinkston to celebrate their 25 years together with a picnic dinner spread at their home put together by their daughters, Jim and Wilma.


     May 30 - Leslie Pierce, who has been bookkeeper at the B-B-M Lumber yard in Cottonwood Falls will take over the duties as the manager in the Strong City yard.


     Jun 6 - Clara Brandley Hildebrand the eldest child of the late Captain and Mrs Henry Brandley has passed away in Texas.
