     March 14, 1901 -- Born to Mr & Mrs Ed Patton, a girl.


     Trustee, Peter Schimpff started to assess the eastern part of his township.


     J. R. Lenard has retired from the Strong City Derrick.


     Mrs Foxworthy, after an illness of a year or more died of consumption.


     The street car barn burned to the ground. Al Reifsnyder was in the barn at the time but with high winds, not much could be done.


     Irwin Lutt of Wonsevu and Flora Deering were married & Alonzo Moore & Josie Babb of Cottonwood.


     March 21, 1901 -- Marriage of Harrison T. Pinkston, Cedar Point & Sarah F. Leaphule, Clements.


     Died at the home of his parents, in Matfield, Clarence, 23 year old son of Joseph & Lida Greer.


     Marriage license issued to; Presley T. Kidd, Cedar Point & Pearl Fobray, Homestead.


     P. J. Norton has the contract for all the stone work on the Lyon Co. Courthouse.


     The citizens of Strong City met and nominated the following "wet"ticket; For Mayor; W. P. Rettiger, For Police Judge; John Clay and for Council; Ludwig Franz, Ed Sweeney, Pat Raleigh, Ham. Senior, Fred Imm.


     Born to Mr & Mrs Dan Foxworthy, a daughter, ten pounds.


     Wit Adare, of Strong City has been appointed inspector under the new cattlelaw, at a salary of $100 per month. He will be stationed at Amarillo, Tx.


     Born; a son to Mr. & Mrs Percy Hunt & to Mr. & Mrs Dennis Ward all of Clements.


     Marriage licenses issued to: Henry Schrumpff of Cottonwood & Katie Uhl, of Birley, & Walter W. Austin of Strong City & Helen M. Proeger, of Cottonwood.


     April 4, 1901 -- The election, between the "wet" and "dry" tickets resulted in favor of the "wets" so called. Grishman, Mayor McWilliams, Police Judge, McDaniel, Doerin Butler, Harris & Fritz, Council.


     The Sunday School will be reorganized at Bazaar school house on Easter Sunday. Prof. Shirk & Henry Weaver will be present.


     Marriage License issued to Francis M. Randall of Okla. & Margaret J. Bishop, of Elmdale.


     April 11, 1901 -- Death of J. M. Tuttle, the Masons took charge after the services.


     Canaan, born to Mr. & Mrs Bogue, a son. Mr. & Mrs Will Shaft, Jr. of Clements a son.


     There will be a dance at Lem Byram's to finish paying for the organ for District # 38 .
