Jul 2 -1952 - The overall population of Chase County declined, total is now 5,020 for the county.
Births: Mrs. & Mrs Roy Johnson, Strong City, a daughter, Leila Ann, 2 pounds and 11 ounces; and Mr. & Mrs Don Robinson of Cottonwood Falls, a son, Mark William.
Jul 9 - Fire destroys the C. E. “Jake” Thompson farm home two miles east of Cedar Point.
Jul 23 - Self inflicted wound is fatal to Bazaar woman, Mrs Bessie Sharp, aged 65.
George Shaw, sheriff of Chase County is spending a week in Lawrence attending a school for peace officers.
County’s first polio victim is Darwin Reyer.
Jul 30 - Truman Haskell buys the Chase County Motor Co.
Aug 6 - The George Lamberts have sold the Bank Hotel at Strong City to Mr. & Mrs Russell Burton of Council Grove.
Mr. & Mrs Al Cahoone have purchased the Home Cafe from Mr. & Mrs W. A. Lawless.
Aug 13 - Robert Carrier named American Legion Head.
Aug 20 - J. E. Stout, 91, died at his home east of Strong City. He married Carrie E. Hansen in 1897.
Mr. & Mrs M. C. Kline of Elmdale have a new son named Mark William.
Cecil P. Wilson & Betty Ann Matti both of Cottonwood Falls are wed in the Methodist church.
Aug 27 - Robert L. Wilson & Mary Lou Fish, both of Cottonwood Falls are wed at the Presbyterian church.
Sep 3 - W. T. Pyles, 80, of Elmdale dies following a stroke.
A son, Ernest Lee is born to Mr. & Mrs Paul Ayers of Bazaar.

Mr. & Mrs Walter Ludwig sell Cafe to Mr. & Mrs Harve Cox.
Betty Clark, Bertella Mushrush, and Peggy Fillmore have been elected as cheer leaders of the Strong City High.

Oct 1 - Mrs Emily Rogler 89, dies at her home east of Matfield Green. Her maiden name was Swift, the only daughter of Mr. & Mrs Charles Wesley Swift.
Joel A. Cooper celebrates his 89th birthday at Saffordville.
