     Oct 15 1952 - Twin Cities to again hold Halloween parties.


     W. R. Blackburn, pioneer resident of rural Cottonwood Falls died of a heart attack.


     1 gallon house paint advertised by Burgner-Bowman-Matthews Lumber Co., H. L. Dahlberg, Mgr. Cottonwood Falls.


     Oct 22 - 39 year old Lloyd Moore of rural Strong City passes leaving a wife and nine children. Mr. Moore had lived in Chase County all his life.


     Mr. & Mrs Paul Magathan of Clements have a new baby girl, named Mary Ann.


     Oct 29 - Andrew Tarrant, 54, former Matfield Green resident was found dead on a ranch near Laverne, Oklahoma.


     Also Mary Ellis Golden of Matfield Green has died.


     Mr. & Mrs H. L. Spain, Jr. of Strong City have a new baby boy, named Mark Allen.


     Nov 5 - Drought conditions force closing of hunting.


     George Shaw, elected as sheriff; C. A. Blackburn, Probate Judge; Jennie Mailen, Register of Deeds; Joe Rice, County Clerk and Bert Drake, Commisloner.


     Nov 19 - Mrs R. Z Blackburn of Cottonwood Falls succumbs. In her early years she taught school in Chase Co. for four terms.


     Large crowd attends the 50th anniversary celebration of the Saffordville Methodist Church.


     Retha Sadler is minister of the Strong City Methodist Church.


     Nov 26 - Blizzard conditions upset holiday plans.


     4-H Club Achievement Banquet is well attended.


     Dec 3 - Local Lions Club to sell brooms.


     Births: Mr. & Mrs Whitt Laughridge of Cottonwood Falls, a son., Charles Edward; Mr. & Mrs Ivan Wyatt, of Clements, a daughter, Cheryl Lynette.


     Dec 10 - Bids for the purchase of the real estate formerly known as the “County Farm’ 1 mile south of Elmdale are being received by the board of Commissioners. It consists of 64 plus acres of cropland, 42 acres of pasture and 33 plus acres of waste land.


     Twin Cities decorate in Christmas holiday attire.


     A dance will be held in the Farmers Union Store in Clements.


     Ralph C. Spain and Dorothy L. Jordon both of Strong City are married in Harlan.


     New Years dance at Strong City Auditorium by Rhythairs— Admission 75 cents per person.


     Dec 31- Fred H. Willey, 86, a long time resident and former business man in Strong City passed away.


     Strong City beats Cottonwood Falls 57 to 33 in basketball before a large crowd in the first meeting of the twin city rivals at Cottonwood Falls.
