     April 11, 1901 -- The street car barn will be rebuilt on the old site.


     Dave Biggam has been appointed Marshal and Street Commissioner of Strong City.


     Miss Crouch, sister of Court Crouch, died of heart failure at Saffordville.


     The street car collided with Henry Errett's wagon on the bridge.


     Infant son of Mr. & Mrs Lawrence Gustin, age 9 months died. Little Thedore was a sweet baby.


     More school land has been sold through the probate court during the last two years than during the ten years previous.


     Marriage license issued to Walter Fink of Hymer and Minnie Yokle of Wilsey.


     J. N. Sanford reports that the cows which he milked for the Creamery averaged $3 per head for the month of March.


     Commissioners ordered that tombstones be erected in Prairie Grove Cementery at the graves of John Woodman, E. W. Brace, Wm. Craft, John Feeters, and Henry Howard, ex-soldiers.


     April 18, 1901 -- Mrs Jennie E. Meckel passed away, wife of Fred Meckel.


     The county jail has not had an occupant since Nov.


     C. A. Cowley has purchased The Racket Store from Lester Perry and will continue business at the old stand.


     The following shipments were made to Kansas City, A. J. Houghton one car of hogs, and John Overstreet, one car of cattle.


     Sol Varner of Plymouth will carry on his hay business in the vicinity.


     Forney's blacksmith shop is now supplied with a new forge.


     A. M. Clark has sold a lot of black walnut logs which are now being prepared for shipment to Germany.


     Phena Ryan was doing a big business in the Wonsevu vicinity, selling fruit trees.


     April 25, 1901 -- Peter Schimpff got orders to quarantine Bill Watson and his family.


     Born, to Mr. & Mrs Seward Baker on South Fork, a son.


     Milt Clay, who went to Kansas City to enlist in the Navy, failed to pass and is back home.


     Married by Rev. Case, Wm. E. Cline, Cottonwood Falls to Lucy Drinkwater, of Plymouth. The bride is the oldest daughter of 0. H. Drinkwater.


     John Bechelmayr's two year old daughter was run over by an east bound freight train, near the Schnavely farm, and died soon after.


     Mrs Musselman, suffered with cancer a long time has died.
