Sep 29 1954 - Gerald Roberts of Strong City won the all-around championship at the Frontier Days Rodeo, at Wichita.
Oct 6 - Change-over from manual controlled warning signals at Santa Fe crossing in Strong City is now in effect.
Mr. & Mrs J. E. Danford east of Strong City celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Marjorie Albright, Marion, and Lawrence M. Osgood, of Cedar Point are married in the Chase County Courthouse by Probate Judge C. A. Blackburn.
Oct 13 - Ferd Jeffrey, 88, passed away at his home in Cottonwood Falls.
New cement street markers are being placed in Cottonwood Falls.
Cpl. Carl E. Baker, son of Mr. & Mrs Edward A. Baker of Matfield Green, arrived home from Germany where he has been stationed for the last 16 months.

Wood was high point man with 30 points, and closely followed by Irvin
Rettiger with 22.
