Apr 25 1956 - Lulu Louise Sayre, Cedar Point, sixth child of Mr. & Mrs Charles Deering passed away.

May 2 - Louis A. Fink, a resident of Cottonwood Falls, for the past 40 years and a life-long resident of Chase County succumbs.
May 9 - Sewer for Strong City is under consideration.
Delegates to Girls State are announced, two Strong City Juniors, Jane Clark and Florence Will.
A 52 - pound shovel head was hauled in just below the Cottonwood river dam by Jim McGraw, Chase County High Senior.
May 16 - Tragic accident claims life of Freddy Bowman, 15, of rural Strong City while on an all school hayrack ride.
Lee Brewer resigns as Chase County Extension Agent.
May 23 - Mr. & Mrs Arch Byram have reopened the Farmer’s Store at Cedar Point.

Mr. & Mrs Cecil Wilson, rural Cottonwood Falls are the parents of a son, Chris Stephen and Mr. & Mrs Roy Morgan, Strong City, have a new son named John Francis.
Jun 27 - Bumper wheat harvest now drawing to a close.
79 year old John E. Duke lost control of his car at Dead Mans Corner three and one-half miles east of Strong City and dies of the results.
Minnie Beth Dawson, Clements, and Gayland Wayne Park, Elmdale, exchange vows at the Clements Presbyterian Church.
Jul 4 - Final plans approved for new Presbyterian Church at Cottonwood Falls approved.
