     May 22 1963 - Soil Conservation merit award to Lee Collinsworth for outstanding work.


     Nine graduating from Elmdale High school. Top scholastic honors to twins Linda & Jane Pretzer.


     Plans are for a full term kindergarten at the Cottonwood Falls grade school this fall.


     Jun 5 - Dr. A. E. Titus is honored as a 50 year Mason.


     Local rodeo queen canidates are: Amy Lou Gaddie and Darlene Mercer.


     A new lake shelter house was just completed - A gift of Frank A. Roniger and the late George Roniger. F. W. Huth was the contractor.


     Jun 12 - Wayne Bailey Matfield Green, 16 years of age is a winner at the “Little Britches Rodeo” at Wichita.


     Claude E. “Bud” Grokett veteran barber of Chase County succumbs.


     The move forward with plan for the formation of the Middle Creek Watershed is being done.


     Jun 19 - Dick Carpenter, of Cedar Point won first in the National Junior College Javelin throw in Big Springs, Texas.
