     June 27, 1901 -- The Bank in Strong City is now located one door north of its old quarters. Robert McCrum will put in a restaurant in the room vacated by the bank.

     Mr. & Mrs Henry E. Lantry are home at Strong City from a sanitarium in Michigan where they spent the last two months for Mr. Lantry's health.

     July 4, 1901 -- Born, to Mr. & Mrs Thom. Crawford, a daughter.

     Smith Bros., has installed in their store one of the best refrigerators.

     Farmers and stockmen report that flies never were so bad on the stock as they are this season.

     Marriage of Mata Badger of Elk to Jno. E. Byran of Elmdale in the parlor of the Central Hotel.

     July 11, 1901 -- Death of Mrs James Robertson on Fox Creek, mother of nine childred and was born in Ayrshire, Scotland.

     The Chase Co. National Bank has put up a new fangled awning, which add much to the comfort of the interior.

     Norton Bros. sold a car load of two year-old white face bulls, for $60 per heifer

     Myrtle the nine year old daughter of Mr. & Mrs Bart Shipman of Strong City died from the effects of an absess on the brain, which she suffered greatly.

     Died the son of Mr. & Mrs Will Shaft, of Clements. Roy was buried in the family cemetery.

     S. E. Bailey & Sadie P. Grisham have been appointed school examiners for the ensuing year.

     July 18, 1901 -- Wm. Sullivan, died very suddenly at his home near Elmdale, at age 66. He left Ireland at the age of 15 coming to America.

     Cyrus Books, died at his home in Toledo. He was the father of eleven children and step-father of one.

     Born to Mr. & Mrs Austin Crawford, a daughter.

     Lee Williams is having an irrigating plant put up on his place, on the river bank in this city.

     S. F. Jones of Strong City, has put in a complete waterworks system on his home place, a fine Fairbank's; windmill and a large reservoir tank.
