     Marriage license issued to: Fredrick Kudder of Mo. & Sophie Eckhard of Bazaar, Joseph M. White & Iva A. James both of Cedar Point and all married the same day.


     Real estate transfer; 101 Cattle Co. to S. E. Whitney, Secs. 9, 10, & W half of 11-18-6.


     August 15, 1901 -- For sale cheap - The Curant building & lot, on east side of Broadway.


     Born, to Mr. & Mrs J. F. Nichols, Strong City, a daughter, Mr. & Mrs S. W. Beach also a daughter.


     The board of Miller school Dist. #19 have employed Miss Minnie Myser as teacher for the coming year.


     W. L. Randolph was elected principle of the Strong City Schools.


     A. R. Palmer formerly of Bazaar, died in Topeka.


     Marriage license issued to; Franklin T. Johnson, Jr., & Bessie E. Jones, both of this city.


     C. A. Cowley has purchased the Petty & Knapp stock of groceries in Strong City.


     Miss Pearl Crawford died of consumption at her home in the Falls.


     August 22, 1901 -- The County Commissioners appointed T. H. Grisham as County Attorney in the Rose case in the absence of Co. Atty. Meckel.


     A son is born to Mr. & Mrs Rockhold of Strong City.


     Fred Raleigh is helping with the carpenter work on the Chandler residence in Bazaar.


     Little Ella Fritze, daughter of Mr. & Mrs A. F. Fritze of Strong City, died at the age of about 9.


     Wm. Farris died of an accident on the Houghton place. Mrs Friedericke Holz dies at her daughter's home, Mrs Cal. Baldwin. Mrs Holz had been an invalid for the last 37 years.


     Aug. 29, 1901 -- Geo. Crum is installed in the Register of Deeds office in the absence of Jas Dwelle who is on his wedding tour.


     Thos. P. White & Del Jackson of Strong City, who have been working for B. Lantry & Sons at Wellsville are making a short visit at home.


     Sidney Breese left for Des Moines, Ia., where he will attend Highland Park College this coming winter.


     Mr. Jay D. Kuhl is employed at Hilton's Pharmacy.
