     Oct 29 1994 - “It’s been a great season,” said Coach Tom Grokett of the Chase County Middle School’s Bullpup football team, as the team completes a perfect season.


     Nov 3 - Dr. John Sherard is leaving the community. Dr. Don Hodson, of Marion will be taking over Dr. Sherard’s practice and will be assisted by Carol Coiner, P. A.


     Nov 10 - The First United Methodist church of Cottonwood Falls celebrates it’s 135th anniversary.


     Nov 24 - Mary Blount has taken over the building on K-177 in Cottonwood Falls that formerly housed the “Mystique.” It will now be know as “Mary’s Place.”


     Deaths: Mae Trussell, Elsie F. Sharp and Antonia Baron.


     Dec 1 - Spring Hill mansion is viewed by at least 1,212 vistors on Chase County - Country Christmas day.


     Dec 8 - Seven polar bears (people) hit the water at Camp Wood’s Lake Hall this year. $133 was raised for the Camp Wood’s campership fund.


     Tom & Charlotte Scott have a new son, named Hunter Jay.


     Dec 15 - Elmdale bank building is donated to Camp Wood. Camp Wood may use it as the Camp’s business office later.


     Mr. & Mrs Leonard Croy to celebrate 70th wedding anniversary.


     Jan 5 1995 - Unemployment in Chase County rising.


     Deaths: Claude “Spud" Grokett, William Burton, Warren Keith Cooper, and Ruth Whitcomb.


     Jan 12 - Bill North was sworn in as Chase County Attorney.


     The Chase County Wrestling team came away from their second meet of the season with 17 medals.


     Jan 19 - One adult and three juveniles are arrested on drug charges.


     Cpt. Charles R. Rayl has recently ended his military flying career.


     Jan 26 - Third generation residents of the over 100 year old Crawford home on Diamond Creek, Ray & Jan Crawford left their home taking only their lives & the clothes they were wearing, as flames engulfed the two story wooden home.


     Susan Davis will begin working as librarian on Feb. 1st.


     Feb 2 - Louise Erett celebrated her 90th year at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center with her many friends.


     Feb 9 - The old Sam Wood home on the Buck Creek Ranch is being reroofed.


     Trooper John Conklin retires after 28½ years with the patrol.


     Longtime retired postmaster of Bazaar, Blanche M. Schwilling has passed away. Blanche Mae LaPlant Schwilling was a teacher in her younger years.


     Feb 16 - CCES Principal John Schierling is resigning after 22 years in the district.


     Feb 23 - Ron Scott is running for a spot on the school board, member-at-large in the upcoming election.


     Mar 2 - Winners of the Chase County Middle School spelling bee was Brian Alexander, second place was Ty Wilson.


     Mar 9 - Lady Bulldogs go to State Tournament with a 19-4 record.
