     The little dauqhter of Seward Baker who was born about a week ago has died.

     Walter Holcomb was shot and seriously wounded.

     Nov. 13, 1902 -- The horse race between Henry Main & Bent Thompson was won by Main.

     Two people joined in the holy ties of wedlock. They are Robert Linsay Cochrane & Nettie I. Holsinger and the marriage is the culmination of school day love idyl.

     Phil Goodreau has sold the Reveille & moved to Burlington.

     J. E. Garner, an old citizen of Saffordville died of consumption.

     A son is born to Mr. & Mrs John Crawford, Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Patton. and the Henry Rogler's have a new baby girl.

     Wm. Finney & Carrie Penrod of Bazaar are wed also Arived Holmberg & Anna Greenlish of Strong City.

     The post office in Saffordville was burglarized last week by unknown parties.

     Nov. 20, 1902 -- Martin Shaft of Ca. has rented his brother, D. P. Shaft's farm for the coming year.

     The school population of Chase Co. is 2849.

     Mrs Geo. Harlan of Matfield has passed away.

     A sufficient sum to pay all the indebtedness & over $90, was raised at the Methodist Church dedication at Saffordville.

     The Diamond Creek meeting house at Hymer will be dedicated by Elder Botkins of Winfield.
