     Nov. 27, 1902 -- The railroad agent at Clements Mr. Nedwed has been transferred to Saffordville.

     85 dogs were poisoned at Strong City last week.

     A baby girl is born to Mr. & Mrs Fred Coe.

     The State Exchange Bank will be changed to a National Bank shortly, with an increase of capital.

     We learn from relatives of Arthur Crocker that he has married Miss Daisy Brandley.

     At the home of Mr. & Mrs C. T. Brown, a very pretty home wedding took place. Pete Adair of this city & Miss Clara M. McFadden of Palmyra, Mo.

     Dec. 4, 1902 -- Marriage license issued to John B. Glanville & Frances Roberts, both of Saffordville.

     Capt. Ewing attended the Chapter of Royal Arch Masons at Marion.

     The Republicans will have 95 members in the next House of Representatives.

     Chase Co. contains 68 school houses & employs 85 teachers.

     County Clerk elect Bocook has moved to this town.

     Dec. 11, 1902 -- Born to Mr. & Mrs Weaver on the Geo. Ellis farm, east of Buck creek, twin sons; Mr. & Mrs J. B. Smith this city, a daughter.

     Bertha Bottiger of the Falls has married Ivie Stewart of Okla.

     R. 0. Miner is the Treasurer elected.

     Dec. 18, 1902 -- M. D. Lyles has been appointed postmater of Saffordville, Grath has resigned.

     About 25 western ponies were sold at auction at the Falls. Prices ranged from $2.50 to $13.

     Dec. 25, 1902 -- Mary A. Kennison of Elmdale has been awarded a pension of $12 per month.

     The Masonic Lodge & Eastern Star Chapter will have a joint installation soon.

     Dr. F. T. Johnson, of this city and Miss Harriet Hobart of Towanda were married at Wichita.

     The infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs Lewelling has died. Mrs Lewelling is the daughter of J. B. Clark.

     The "club room" at the lower end of Broadway has been closed by temporary injunction.

     Mrs A. C. Finley has rented the Commercial Hotel at the lower end of Broadway and is furnishing it with new furniture. It now contains 25 well-lighted rooms.
