     Died at the home of Mr. & Mrs Enos Heckendorn a little boy of four months.

     John M. Grissom & Mamie Pyles both of Cedar Point are married.

     Jan. 29, 1903 -- J. A. Barker has sold his farm this side of Bazaar to Davis & Hiner.

     The Santa Fe Depot at Bazaar was robbed. The only thing of value missing was two cases of whisky.

     Will L. Coleman of Clements who was accidently shot a few weeks ago has died of lock jaw.

     Feb. 5, 1903 -- Mrs Cora Brown of Matfield passed away. Her maiden name was Johnson. Her husband is J. W. Brown one of Chase County's successful school teachers.

     The announcement has been made on the marriage of Maude Triplett, class of 1900 to Mr. Duncan McAlpine of Elmdale.

     Born to Mr. & Mrs Henry Zimmerman of Strong City, a son.

     Mr. & Mrs Oscar Pratt of Middle creek lost their baby by death last week.

     Ed Brandley presented Sheriff Gloyd with a handsomely engraved gold-plated sheriff's badge.

     Uniforms for the Boys Band have been ordered. They are dark green with black facing & are very handsome.

     Feb. 12, 1903 -- There are 16 members of the Chase Co. bar of which 4 are lawyers.
