     June 23, 1904 -- The infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs Jacob Ludwig near Homestead has died.

     June 30 -- The Chase County Leader chances. We will print all of its eight pages at home. A two horse power Fairbanks-Morse Gasoline engine has been installed which will run the presses.

     C. Crouch of Saffordville has sold his liverv barn to S. E. & A. A. Bailey, but he will still do auctioneer work.

     July 7 -- A most unique and perhaps the prettiest wedding has taken place in Strong City at the St. Anthony's Catholic church when Ralph Hoover and Theresa Kraft became husband and wife.

     A boy was born to Mr. & Mrs Arwood Holmberg on July 4th.

     Mr. & Mrs B. F. Martin also have a new baby boy on the 5th.

     Luther Richards and Elizabeth Bledsoe are wed. They will make their future home at Matfield.

     July 14 -- The second distastrous flood of the year has come and gone.

     Mrs J. H. Scribner, one of the best know women of Chase Countv has died. Mrs Scribner was the mother of nine children.

     Mr. & Mrs Harry Foreman, who live on Johnnie Martin's farm on Peyton creek, lost their 16 month old daughter.

     Harry McCabe was born on the McCabe farm, west of Bazaar, October 6, 18'75, where he spent almost all his life. He suffered from kidney and liver trouble the past five weeks and died last Friday.

     Will Self of Cedar Point left for Osage County where he will work on the bridge gang of which Frank Dwelle is foreman.

     July 28 -- County Attorney F. A. Meckel of this city was nominated for Judge of the fifth judicial district.

     Miss Hanna Brock has the school in District No. 27, Mars Hill and Miss Grace Nelson has the Wolfrom school, Joint district No. 62.

     Invitations are out announcing the marriage on August 3, 1904, at Hymer of Margaret Maloney to John E. Gibb.

     Our City Marshal, A. R. Gotbehuit has married Miss Mae Compton of Pennsylvania. They are at home living on east Main street of the Falls.

     Miss Carrie Breese one of our best know Kansas born girls is taking the summer term in Prang Art School of Chicago. She will again teach at the Toledo school.

     H. S. Fritz moved his hardware and Tinshop to his new location first door north of the Eureka Hotel.

     Aug. 4 -- A wedding of one of the most popular couples of Chase County took place at the Catholic church were Thomas Quinn and Hannah Maloney both of Strong City were made man and wife.

     E. F. Holmes sold his ranch of 3600 acres east of Clements to David Wood of Fox Creek, for $40,000. Harvey and Snyder made the sale.
