     Nov. 10, 1904 -- The home of Mr. & Mrs W. P. Evans of South Fork was the scene of a very pretty wedding of their second daughter, Pearle to George Miller. They will make their home on the Miller farm east of the Falls.

     The month old twins of Mr. & Mrs Will Armour of Strong City have died.

     The German Lutherns of Strong City have almost completed a new school building at the east end of their church.

     Mr. Chas. L. Simmons and Miss Mary Clements were united in marriage. Mr. Simmons owns one of the best small farms in the Cottonwood river valley.

     Born to Mr. & Mrs John Mailen of the Falls, a son. Mr. & Mrs Will Grimwood of Cedar Point a daughter.

     Roddy Riggs of Wonsevu marries Luella Freeman

     Nov. 17 -- Dr. W. H. Cartter died at his home one mile east of the Falls, at age 66. Dr. Cartter was well known in Chase County. He had served in the U. S. Navy for 12 years. Being a member of the Paruguay expedition and the expedition which laid the Atlantic cable.

     S. J. Evans who ran a livery barn in the Falls for almost twenty years, and who most of us all know, died at his home.

     Mrs Sadie P. Grisham, of Cottonwood Falls, wife of T. H. Grisham, has just been chosen President of the Equal Suffrage Association of Kansas.

     Born to Mr. & Mrs Tom White, a daughter and Mr. & Mrs Tom Vinson of Fox Creek a daughter.

     J. H. Doolittle has resigned from the school board and Mr. E. A. Kinne has been appointed to fill the vacancy.

     Mrs M. J. Moon is teaching at the Canaan school this term.

     The month old baby of Dr. & Mrs Hoover of Saffordville has passed away.

     Frank Kent and Edith Garner were married by the Rev. H. C. Case in the Falls.

     Nov. 24 -- Judge Madden decided last week that the famous cow ordinance of Cottonwood Falls is unconstitutional.

     Born to Mr. & Mrs Richard Carroll of Strong City a baby boy.

     Many people from Chase County are still attending the World's Fair.

     Grandma Maybell died suddenly at the home of her daughter Mrs Will Heskett on Diamond creek. She was one of the pioneers of Chase County.

     The High School male quartette is composed of Whit Speer, Albin Houghton, Hugh Campbell and James Bell.

     Geo. Yeager began his official career as trustee of Falls township, succeeding Chas. Hager.

     D. G. Raymer has bought Frank Miller's interest in the Buck creek stone quarry and is now the sole proprietor.

     Sheriff Gloyd is treading softly and carrying a big stick for the light fingered chaps who are making their annual rounds.
