     Nov. 17, 1905 -- A big water wheel is being put in proper condition. It is of about 150 horse power and will be used at the mill in the Falls for power for the light plant.


     Nov. 21 -- The Ladies Federation of the Falls will give an exhibition of pictures in Mr. Harman's building for the benefit of a fence at the Prairie Grove Cemetery.


     Nov. 24 -- Marriage of Christian Elston of Cedar Point and Elmer Slabaugh.


     Blurton and Odle have sold their business of the Central Hotel and restaurant to E. Ansel.


     Katherine Kraft and Earl Houson both of Strong City are wed.


     The Electric Light Company have installed about 600 lights altogether, and have enough orders ahead to keep busy.


     Nov. 28 -- Married by Probate Judge Houghton, John Bafford & Viola Talkington, both of Clements.


     Dec. 5 -- Goldie Moon and L. L. Chandler of Bazaar are married at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. & Mrs Krebs of South Fork.


     Mary George wife of George George of the Falls has died of heart failure.


     Mrs. A. M. Conaway of Saffordville dies of cancer.


     Phil Goodreau of Strong City died on Thanksgiving Day. He was for several years owner and editor of the Curant & Reveille. He was 31 years old.


     The Electric Light plant furnished lights for the entire night. Before this they shut down the plant at midnight.


     Dec. 8 -- Born to Mr. & Mrs John Koegeboehn of Elk a son.


     Frank Gaddie of Bazaar is moving his house from the Orient right of way to his lots.


     Dec. 12 -- M. E. Hunt died at his home at Clements.


     Mr. & Mrs Willard Park of Clements have a new baby daughter.


     Mrs John McCabe of Americus has died. The McCabe's formerly lived at Bazaar. Mrs McCabe is the daughter of George and Caroline Hays.


     Dec. 19 -- Fred Wagoner & Rose Harlan both of Matfield are married.


     C. H. Sidener of Praire Hill has sold his farm.


     Dec. 22 -- After Jan. 1st. 1906, the Cottonwood Falls mill will be known as the Cottonwood Falls Mill & Water Power Plant. The new company was just incorporated. A limited number of shares will be offered for sale.


     Glennie Bros. & James Austin retailers in Strong City dissolved the partnership by mutual consent. Glennie Bros. will continue at the old stand.


     Navel oranges 19 cents per dozen at Smith Bros.


     Mr. & Mrs T. F. Crawford, Jr., of Bloody creek are the parents of a baby girl.


     Dec. 26 -- Born to Mr. & Mrs A. J. Klotz of Homestead a daughter.


     The Consolidated Street Railroad Co. has purchased motor cars.


     The special prizes for Santa Claus Stories were awarded to little Minnie Reifsnyder of Strong City and Master Fred Umbarger of Saffordville.


     A christmas wedding of James W. McKittrick and Melva Goad, both of Wonsevu.
