     Feb. 20, 1906 -- The County Officers and their wives dropped in on Supt. and Mr. T. G. Allen to help celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Mr. & Mrs Allen were married at the Falls.

     Feb. 23 -- B. F. Largent is moving his stock of goods into the Brandley building at Matfield.

     One of the brightest meteors ever seen in this section of the county has just occurred.

     Feb. 27 -- Harvey Mowrey and family of Homestead leave for their new home in Valley Falls.

     James Dickson has over 2,000 head of sheep on full feed on Middle creek.

     Dave Mercer of Homestead has bought the J. L. Thompson farm and will move there later.

     Mar. 3 -- Errett Bros. have sold their interest in the Buck Creek Stone Quarries formerly owned by Jones and Errett to A. G. Maule.

     Arm Gottbehuet has tendered his resignation as City Marshal of the Falls and will be moving.

     Onion sets 10 cents a quart at the Corner Grocery.

     Thomas Byram one of the counties old settlers has died at the home of his daughter, Mr. J. B. Crawford.

     Mar. 6 -- Thorn Brandley was appointed as City Marshal at the Council meeting, filling the vacancy of Arm Gottbehuet. Thorn was the marshal of this city three years ago for several years.

     Martha Ann Gardner who was married to Mr. E. Gardner of Cedar creek near Wonsevu and lived in this city, has died at Kearney, Neb.

     Mar. 9 -- Cowley & McDowell have sold out their dry goods store to A. E. Martin & J. M. Martin.

     Mar. 13 -- E. L. Smith has sold the subscription list and good will of the Strong City Herald to Harry Brown of the Elmdale Reporter.

     Fred Siler of Bazaar has received the appointment as agent of the Santa Fe at the Falls depot. His last six years have been as agent at Bazaar.

     Mr. & Mrs Tom Albin of Toledo have a new baby girl.

     Miss Maude Way has finished teaching a six months term of school on Middle creek.

     Mar. 16 -- Best garden seed 2 packages for 5 cents at Smith Bros.

     W. W. Harvey and the Ryan Bros. are putting up ice. The ice is about four inches thick.

     The Houston Shade Holder Factory has a force of five persons working.

     Mr. & Mrs Earnest Hedrick of Clements have a new son.

     Mar. 20 -- Mrs C. J. Mickeljerd died at her home. She was a native of Chisteansund, Norway, coming to Chase Co. in 1873.

     The Continental Creamery Co. has established a cream receiving Station with Jeffrey Merchantile Co. at Elmdale.

     The Clements Hotel is prosperous under the liberal management of the Gustin family.
