THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCH

Cottonwood Falls, Kansas

The Christian Science Church had its beginning here when in 1919 Mrs. George McNee, Mrs. W.B. Penny. Laura Penny, and Edna Beedle started meeting in homes. Over the years, they met in various public buildings until in December, 1925, the organization bought a building from Mrs. Ella Bennett and services were held in it thereafter.

After members moved away and many passed on, the church ceased to operate, and the building is now known as "Scout Hall". From article in "Chase County Historical Sketches" By: Minnie Norton
