CHURCH OF CHRIST

The Church of Christ was organized in Cottonwood Falls in 1907 and plans were soon under way for the building of a church home at. Oak and Fifth streets. In 1908 the building was ready for use. The first Evangelist minister was K.S. Bennett. Elder T.J, Jackson, father of Mrs. Wes Myers also served the charge.

Early members include: Mrs. Alonzo Manley, Mrs. Dave Howard, Mrs. J E. Bocook, Mrs. Richard Clough, Mr. and Mrs. John Osborne, Mrs. Wesley Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Trayer, Mr. and Mrs. K.S. Bennett, Mrs. Fred Coe, and Mrs. Geo. Hudson.

Today, the church still serves its congregation at Fifth and Oak.
