FRANK MAUDERLY

The community was saddened Monday morning with the news of the sudden death early that morning of Mr. Frank Mauderly of Clements., He died of heart failure at 12:30 A. M. December 20th. after an illness of but a few hours.

Frank Xaver Mauderly was born in Madison county, Illinois, on the 17th day of August 1856. He moved to Kansas in 1890, settling near Lincolnville,Kansas. In 1901, he moved, with his family to Chase county, settling in the Prairie Grove vicinity, 1 where he remained until moving to Clements about two years before his death.

In 1893 he made profession of Christian faith and joined the Lutheran Church at Lincolnville. By the grace of God he remained true to his profession of faith until the day of his death.

1On February 14th, in the year 1883 he was united in holy wedlock with Mrs. WiIhelmina Meierhoff. This union was blessed with eight children, three of whom preceded their father in death, Their mother passed away November 8th. 1920.

On April 28th. in 1925. He was remaried to Mrs. Nancy Baggs of Kirksville, Mo. They made their home in Clements.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three sons, Frank, Joe and Carl; two daughters, Louise and Marie; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Potthast and Mrs. Frank Brown of Illinois; seven grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends. He was a loving father and an excellent friend and neighbor: but the best that can be said of him was that he found grace and honor in the sight of God to believe and profess faith in the Savior of mankind.
