Taylor, Patrick R

Patrick R. Taylor, 54, Elmdale, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove, Kan.

Patrick, the son of Earl Gideon and Pansy L. Sutcliff Taylor, was born Feb. 14, 1951, at Fort Scott, Kan.

He married Nelda Jacobs on July 31, 1983, at the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church. Mr. Taylor was a heating and cooling mechanic and was employed as the Maintenance Supervisor at Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. He was a member of the Zeredatha Masonic Lodge #80, A.F. and A.M. in Cottonwood Falls.

He is survived by his wife of the home in Elmdale; four sons, John Jacob Taylor and James Michael Taylor of the home and Jarod Ross Taylor and Jeremy Ray Taylor, Fort Scott, Kan.; a daughter, Tammy Eileen Taylor, Portage, Wis.; his mother, Pansy Byrd, Tyler, Texas; two brothers, Randy Taylor, Haskell, Okla., and Robert Taylor, Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Chris Gideon, Tyler, Texas; Sheila Hodges, Ottawa, and Earlene Wood, Flint, Texans; one half-sister, Elaine Stickney, Garden City; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl and a sister, Sherry Christmas.

A celebration of his life was held Aug. 16 at the Masonic Temple in Cottonwood Falls. Rev. John David Ramsey officiated the service. Interment was at the Elmdale Cemetery. Masonic services were conducted by the Zeredatha Masonic Lodge #80, A.F. and A.M.

Memorial contributions are suggested to an education fund for his children or to the Zeredatha Masonic Lodge #80, A.F. and A.M. sent in care of Brown-Bennett Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, Kan. 66845.
