KNOWLES, MANAR

Norahiatt@sprintmail.com Nora Hiatt Sun, 04 May 1997 11:50:07 -0700
Subject: MANAR's in Cherokee Co. KS
I have been looking for information concerning Andrew MANAR. From what I can tell, he was born in either IL or PA depending on who was filling out the record. His age is open to question because grandma played fast and loose with her birthdate ;). One thing was consistant though Andrew was always three years younger than she was and she was born in 1845. Andrew married Mary KNOWLES and they were in KS by at least 1881. CH: W R born 1881, nothing more is known; Vina Jane born in 1883; Mattie Mae born 1885; twins Nancy and Robert William born 1886 and Ethel Sybil born 1894. There was one other child I have no information on. Vina Jane was born in Winfield KS. The rest of the children were born in Faulkner Cherokee Co KS.
Andrew died sometime between 1895 - 1900. Mary died 1929 and is buried near Hallowell. Andrew's grave has not been located.
Any help with this family greatly appreciated.
