South Kansas Tribune, Wednesday, April 15, 1887:

            Frank McGuire, an old soldier of the 2nd Missouri cavalry, died at his home in the 4th Ward on Friday last, and was buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery.  The funeral was in charge of the G. A. R.  Mr. McGuire had an application pending for wounds received in battle at Black Jack.
