Obituary of G. W. Andrews.

 

  George W. Andrews was born near Bornsvill, Ross county, Ohio, December 15, 1842.  He moved with his parents to Anderson county Indiana, when eight years old.  He lived there until he enlisted in the 101st Indiana volunteers in which company he served three years or until the close of the war.  He was married to Rebecca Ann Garrison November 1, 1866.  To this union were born five children.  His wife and three children preceeded him to the great beyond a number of years ago.  He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. S. Hair of near Moody, and Mrs. M. J. Brown of Lansing, 9 grandchildren and 3 greatgrand children.  He died at the home of Mrs. Brown Feb. 6, 1920, aged 77 years, 1 month and 24 days.  A short funeral service was held at the home of Mrs. Brown by the pastor of the Presbyterian church of Leavenworth, Mr. Andrews having joined that church in early manhood.  Short services were also held at the grave in charge of the Odd Fellows lodge of Burlington.
