JAMES HAMILTON WHITE   b. 28 July 1829 New Concord, Ohio, d. 23 Apr 1909 Plains, Meade Co., KS,
bur. Garfield, Pawnee Co., KS.  m. 19 May 1853, Cambridge, Guernsey Co, Ohio, Elizabeth CAMPBELL, dtr. of John CAMPBELL and Elizabeth SLEETH, both from Ireland. To serve in the Civil War he left a wife and five children, including a 6 month old baby. He served six months as a Private in Company B of the 15th Iowa Volunteer Infantry.  His service took him with the 3 armys of General Sherman including 100,000 men on the "March to the Sea".  Other action was in Atlanta, Ga., Beaufort, S.C. and Goldboro, N.C.  Brothers who also served were Isaac Oliver WHITE  and Willison B. WHITE in Co. A of the 115th Regular Ohio Infantry Volunteers.  Brother, Alexander WHITE, served in Co. K, 159th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteers. Brother, Samuel WHITE, served in Camp H, 172nd Reg. of Ohio Nat'l Guard.

Phillips
William Tannahill, Iowa UnionCemetery, Phillips Co., Kansas. Has 3 tombstones. He died at Anapolis, MD at an Union Army Hospital while on "parole" from a Confederate prison.  He was a member of Co B, 7th Reg, Iowa Infantry.  Taken prison at Belmont, MO.  Though actually buried in Anapolis National Cemetery, he has a tombstone in Chickasaw Co., Iowa and one where his widow Jeannette White Tannahill moved, Iowa Union Cemetery, Phillips Co., Kansas.

Pottawattomie
Samuel GLASGOW,  buried at Valley View cemetery, St. Marys, Pottawatomie He was b. Belmont Co OH, 31 Oct 1836, and d. 2 Nov 1905 in Pottawatomie Co KS. He married Nancy Maria HUNTSMAN in Glenco, Belmont Co OH, 6 Aug 1856. Her father was John HUNTSMAN, her mother was Alice KINNEY. Samuel was enrolled in Company A, 25th Regiment of OH Volunteer Infantry, in the service of the United States, on 4 Jun 1861. He was involved in battles at Cheat Mt, Greenbrier, W.VA, Camp Allegheny or Buffalo Mt. W.VA, Huntsville, VA, McDowell or Bull Pasture, VA. Cross Keys or Union Church, VA, Chancellorsvillle Campaign, and Gettysburg. He was discharged at Camp Chase, Columbus OH, 26 Jun 1864. Samuel moved his family to KS about 1877, settling at St. Marys, Pottawatomie Co.Samuel and wife are buried at Valley View cemetery, St. Marys, Pottawatomie Co KS. Gary FLESHER

Benjamin Franklin BUZBEE, b. 10 Jul Brown Co. IL, son of Balaam and Nancy Allphin Buzbee. Married 1864 Alton, IL to Mary M. Drake. Enlisted 10 KS Volunteers Infantry, Company C. 7 Aug 1861. Discharged 17 Aug 1864. Applied for a pension 5 Nov 1889 from Pottawatomie Co. KS. Received pension 1894 at $6.00 a month, to $30.00 a month in 1912. Benjamin died 2 Oct 1914 Onaga, Pottawatomie Co. KS in the Western Home for soldiers. Buried Onago cemetery. His wife Mary died 29 Aug 1903 Onaga, KS. Both names are shared on the head stone in the Onago cemetery.  Patrick H.
