John Senner was born 12-17-1883 in Havensville, Kansas. Moved to Condordia in 1920, then to Hollis area in 1922. Jeanette(Gollinger)Senner was married to John at Topeka State House in 1910. She was born 8-4-1890 in Collinswood, Ontario, Canada
She passed away in April 28,1955 she is buried at I believe Aurora, Ks. or Hollis, Ks.
John Senner moved back to Concordia 1958 and retired from farming. He passed away August 6,1966.They had 5
children:Jessie,Edith Mae,John Arnold,Edna May and Richard Lee. I am looking for the parents of John Senner.

He was born Marieville, Quebec, Canada.1817, migrated to Illinois in 1850 and then his families went to Cloud County, Ks. and some to Colorado. Am researching Paul Ward who died in Cloud County on 29 Dec 1916. His will leaves property in Aurora, KS to his wife, so he must
have resided there. I believe he is an ancestor who changed his name from Hyppolite Guertin to Paul Ward. I would like the name

This may be William COLE, who is listed as the owner of the farm my grandparents (Jesse and Mildred HUSCHER) bought circa 1940, called the Cole Place.
It is listed as Section 16, in township 6 south, range 3 west, in the 1885 Atlas of Cloud Co., KS edited by Jeanne Chubbuck. We have a nice etching of the Cole farm house circa 1880, showing members of the Cole family, that was found in the Cloud County Historical Society. William COLE and his family are likely listed on the 1880 and 1900 federal census, as well as the newly released Kansas State Census for Cloud Co., KS, available from the Cloud Co. Genealogical Society. I believe it is in Center township.

I am researching my CARVER ancestry and have recently seen reference to a book that may have relevance to my research on the CARVER surname: George W. Carver of Cloud County Kansas. His Ancestry from Robert Carver of Marshfield, Plymouth Colony and Some of His Descendants. Authors given as Renee Carver, Jenna Carver and David Carver. Vol. 1 & 2. Modesto CA. Library of Congress No. CS71.C3281983.
My great grandfather, Andrew CARVER, had an older brother George Washington CARVER who moved to Kansas, date unknown. He, Andrew, and his wife Elizabeth LICKLEY CARVER are reported to have lived in Kansas for 2 years, again dates unknown. One reasonable assumption is that they lived near brother George. Andrew and his father Increase appear to be traceable to Robert CARVER of Marshfield.
If anyone has access to this book I have two questions:
1. Are the parents of George W. given as Increase and Adah BIGELOW (or DOOLITTLE) CARVER, and father of Increase given as Aldric and Aseneth TARBOX CARVER?
2. If the answer to that question is in the affirmative, do you know where I might be able to order a copy of this set for my library?

I am a Jones researcher and am seeking the descendants of Carrie Delilah Jones and Charles H. Willard. Carrie was born 1847 in Tippecanoe Co., Indiana and married Charles Willard there in 1863. She married second to William Layton, 1907 in Cloud Co.
Carrie and Charles Willard moved to Cloud Co. 1865-1869 with her fatherCarmi Jones and 2 sisters, Virginia (m. Simeon Glidden)
and Nancy (m. Edward P. Davis). Carrie and Charles had the following children:

Maude A. - married Herbert G. West
Fred B. - married Mary E. __
Maude was married first to a Thatcher and had one child, Luther. Between 1900 & 1910 she married Herbert West. They are found in 1910 living in Geary Co., KS and in 1920 in Shawnee Co., KS. Have not found any further info on Luther Thatcher.
Fred and Mary E. had children: Frances E.; Robert O.; Everett B.; Thelma C. (1910 Census).
Would love to hear from others researching these families.

I am a descendant of Joseph Como(Comeau) who lived south of the town of St Joseph (1860-1899). His sons names were Onizime, Moise, Edward, Delphise, Joe, Louis,Luger. Looking for any information about Edwin E. Moberly. He was born in Houston, TX in about 1857, and moved to Indiana when a small child. Father died in Civil War. Mother remarried (Tevis) and moved to Kansas.
I believe Edwin Moberly was in Cloud County (Town of Rice ???) in the 1930's. Possibly has a son named Roy, also living in Cloud County in the 1930's.

Hello Kansans,
Family history says that my gggrandfather's brother WILLIAM ORA HENDERSON headed west(from Maine) with his wife RUTH HORTON
DICKEY [BUTTERS] HENDERSON around 1880 and they ended up in Clyde, Kansas, where they had a daughter, MAUDE HENDERSON,
and Ruth died. By 1885 W.O. was in Los Angeles. I am trying to find gravesite for Ruth, death cert, and any info on Maude's birth.

I know that he lived in Cloud Co around 1900.
His children were Lula, Maude Lula, Mable, Harold G. (Hallie) and Clarence (my grandfather) James wife was Jessie Wike.

If anyone could tell me if there are any Blossers or Lynns living in Clyde, KS right now, I would like their names or they could be told to contact me. John Bruff (J.B.) Blosser's father, Joseph Blosser, and his family lived there. J.B. Blosser was born in Mercer Co., Ohio but married Anna Lynn in Clyde, KS in 1884. Anna Lynn was born August 19, 1862. J.B. and Anna had the following children: Curtis A., Cora, Agusta, Charles, and Beaulah. I know for sure that Curtis was born in Clyde, KS. Some of the children may have been born in Michigan. I know of no Blossers in Clyde, but there are some in Concordia and Norway. They owned much land in those areas.. The Charles and Lloyd Blosser families. Could these be a connection for you?

Trying to find information on the family of Major Baldwin Sowers and his wife Mary Docia. They had 5 children of whom I know one was born and died shortly after birth in Concordia in Oct 1937. His name was Peter Paul Claudis Sowers and buried in the catholic cemetery according to a newspaper article. And information will be greatly appreciated.

Searching for James E. Gilliland who is the father of Susan Jane Gilliland Ledbetter and the husband of Mary Elizabeth Wilson
Gilliland. Susan Jane, sister Clara Gilliland Macy and their mother Mary Elizabeth are all buried in the Morrison Cemetery southwest
of Concordia. He died in 1874 but no record exists of is burial. Two other daughters of James & Mary are Amanda who married
William Messick and Martha who married Fred Stewart. Any information appreciated.

Seeking info on the tribe Nancy Kight Bowman belonged to.She was born 1848 IL.and married John Andrew Bowman their in 1868.They went to Fillmore Co.NB.and then to Cloud Co.KS.Nancy had been married 10yrs in 1878 when she had land in Cloud Co.that was hers alone.abt.1888 she sold it to her husband John A Bowman for 1.00 cash.later they went to Benton Co. I am interested in any information that is available for the following: . HENRY HARRISON HERVEY was born in Lagrange Co., IN March 12, 1850. Henry died October 18, 1935 in Wakeeney, Trego Co., Kansas, at 85 years of age. His body was interred Aft 18 OCT 1935 in Concordia, Cloud Co., Kansas. He married twice. He married LUCIA "LUCHIA" W. STONER in Lagrange Co., IN, June 28, 1869. Lucia was born in Mancelona, Antrim Co., Mi. June 23, 1853. Lucia died February 26, 1890 in Concordia, Cloud Co., Kansas, at 36 years of age. He married ESTER SWEET in Kansas, Abt 1890. (Ester SWEET is #76.) Ester was born June 8, 1870. Ester died January 7, 1935 in Wakeeney, Trego Co., Kansas, at 64 years of age.

In 1880 a John Dunn was living in Cloud County, apparently about 14 to 16 miles west from Bloom Township, Clay County where John's sister, Catherine Crooks lived with her family, her mother-in-law and her parents, Robert and Jane Barber Dunn. I have inquired in Clay County and was unable to find information about Robert or Jane's deaths. In 1880, they were 80 and 78 respectively. Am hoping to find an obituary for Jane Dunn listing her survivors. Believe her to be sister of Adam Barber who was alive and living in Meigs County, Ohio. Do death records exist from the early 1880's in Cloud County and/or are there cemetery records from that era? I note there is a Bloom Cemetery in Miltonvale NE. Is that in Cloud County? Is there anyone out there researching these families or can anyone help with my questions? Would appreciate any possible assistance.

HI Cuz, I am looking for the missing link of Maddox in My family tree. The Maddox are a Mystery Family. The Family I am looking for are located In Idaho and Oregon now.They came out of Texas and OK. to South Dakota to Kansas(Cloud Co.) then down the Oregon Trail. When they departed the Texas, Ok area they also departed the family ties, due to some kind of family Feud This was in 1860 or abouts ??
Ora L. Maddox b. 1-8-1888 in Chamberland Brule County South Dakota d. 2-4-1959 Weiser Washington County Idaho. At this time his Parentage is Unknown, but Possibility a Mary A. was his Mother ? I did fine the location of Internment for him and his wife Treasure L ( Sevey) Maddox b.-7-7-1895 d.5-8-1932 and a Mary A Maddox b.6-14-1850 d.6-21-1924 in Mann Creek Cemetery Washington County Idaho. There were children of his and Treasures marriage 3 Boys and 1 Girl, her name is Imogene Mae ( Maddox ) Murray b.8-19-1921 Weiser Washington County Idaho. The Three boys DOB are unknown to me at this time. All the boys are living and live in Oregon and Idaho. Two Are World Champion Rodeo Cowboys (PCRA) Bull Riding and Calf Roping. Imogene is my Mother-In-Law and I and my wife Pamela have been working on the Maddox Family Tree.
There stories that Imogene was told when she was a little Girl about the Family, but the family didn't talk about the passed, and not of family. Like this Mary A. Imogene told me that she can remember her as granny, but her dad Ora didn't talk about her after her death. The One thing that I have found out is that the story about Ora's Mother & Father going to a Indian Reservation in South Dakota was true. While I was checking out the South Dakota Information I found that a Comanche girl was enrolled in the Indian School at Chamberland, her Name was Harriet Maddox and she was out of Oklahoma at the time of Ora's birth.
With more checking I found a William S Maddox b.1833 he was in the Union Army Station at Farragut Post # 52 Spearfish South Dakota. His Company was Company D 9th Ind.. Legion. He enlisted in Jennings County IND... In the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery at Falls River Hot Springs County South Dakota The Internment of William S Maddox d. 5-30-1901 .
Now to tie this to the Ora Maddox. Imogene stated that she think her Grand Father first name was William or Willie or Wills ? That her father Ora told her that her Grand father died in the Idaho State Veterans Hospital in Boise Idaho and was taken back to South Dakota.
BOY DO I NEED HELP WITH THE PARENTAGE OF ORA LOGAN MADDOX !!!!!

Edward/Edmond "Eddie" MAGERS, who d. 19 Oct., 1885, in Jamestown. I'm descended from Riley & Eliza's son, Isaac MAGERS.
