Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 10,
1987, at 2 p.m. at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home in Manhattan for
Beverly (Cozad) Morton, 49, who died at her home in Manhattan March 7,
1987. The Rev. John D. Stoneking officiated and interment was in
Sunrise Cemetery. Manhattan.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Cozad, she
was born April 24, 1937 at Norcatur. She attended rural schools near Lyle
and high school in Oberlin. She was married to Doyle W. Morton on March
21, 1954.
Survivors include her husband of the home; one
son, Tony Morton, Belton, MO; two daughters Jana Jones, Kansas City MO and
Lynn Clevenger, Woodward, OK; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Cozad,
Hutchison; her maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Knutson,
Beaver City, NE; two brothers, John Cozad, Norcatur, and David Cozad,
Norton; one sister, Mary Cozad, Raytown, MO, and five grandchildren.
