Orpha Johnston Bosler

ORPHA MURIEL BOSLER, daughter of Robert M. and Jennie E. Johnston, was born February 18, 1893, near Oberlin, and died at her home in Denver, Colorado, November 26 (1960) at the age of 67 years, 9 months, and 8 days. She spent the early years of her life in Decatur County where she received her education and later taught in the rural schools.

She was married to Severin C. Bosler, June 30, 1911, at Hastings, Nebraska, where they resided until 194l. They then moved to McCook.

In 1934 she expressed her faith in God and became a member of the Assembly of God Church in Traer at the time the church was organized under the Rev. Appleyard. She later transferred her membership to McCook, where she remained a member until her death, attending church as long as her health permitted. The last years of her life she suffered ill health, but was always kind and patient, looking to her Savior for that eternal rest.

She was preceded in death by one son, Donald Delbert, in March 1914. Those left to mourn the passing of a kind and loving wife and mother are the husband and four children; two daughters, Vivian Null, Helen Quinlan; two sons, Stanley C and Clifford E; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Clifford Bosler, Mrs. Stanley Bosler; two sons-in-law Harry Quinlan and Ray Null all of Denver; six grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Hill and Josephine Bosler Oberlin; three brothers, Marvin Johnston, Cope, Colorado, Oren Johnston, Oberlin, and Millard Johnston, Kansas City, Missouri; besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted November 29th at the Assembly of God Church in Oberlin by the Rev. J. C. Garrett. Burial was in the family plot at Ludell.
