Peter Henry Wesch

Peter Henry Wesch was born May 10, 1878 [May 10, 1871], at Holstein, Germany.  He came with his parents, at the age of 9 years to the United States. They settled at Lincoln, Nebr. for one year, later making their home in Red Willow county, Nebr.  

Peter was united in marriage to Marie Elizabeth Huhnke June 23, 1900, at Oberlin.  They made their home in Decatur county for 21 years, then moved to Red Willow county, where they farmed until retiring to McCook six years ago.

He is survived by his wife and five children,  two sons, Edward of McCook and Fred of Wellfleet, Nebr.; three daughters, Mrs. Laura Berndt, Mrs. Elsie Berndt, both of Cedar Bluffs, Mrs. Hazel Gerloff of North Platte, Nebr.; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Fred of Portland Oregon and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, mother, four brothers and one sister.

He departed this life Saturday evening, September 6, 1952.

He was a kind and loving husband and father and suffered a long time patiently He is greatly missed by all and shall not be forgotten.
