Mrs. Sarah Ann, wife of Harvey Chapin
died Sunday January 20, 1907 at her home in Oberlin, aged 74 years, 4 months
and 18 days. The funeral was held at the Baptist Church in Oberlin
Tuesday afternoon, service conducted by Rev. Dougher.
Mrs. Chapin had long been a resident of Decatur county and was held in high
esteem. Seven children survive her, Fremont, Vinton, Mrs. A.J. Simpson,
and Mrs. George McDowell all living near Oberlin. Her husband and
children have the earnest sympathy of all."
