I am looking for any information on Thomas THOMAS. His wife was Louisa A. THOMAS. He is listed in the 1880 census for Ellsworth as a policeman and born in Pennsylania.

His wife made at least two trips from Ellsworth to Marion, Kansas to visit her daughter to be there for the birth of thier grandchildren. ( Civil War pension records).

He had the following children Joseph C. and Rebecca Jane both of Marion Kansas and Maria (accompanied Louisa to Marion for the birth of Thomas V PRATT. Thomas THOMAS's grandson in 1875). Maria was married to James W. FOX and lived in Ellsworth. Louisa states that in 1888 she had frequently seen her grandson. (affidavit for pension).

I dont know when they moved to Kansas but in 1866 they all lived in Ottawa, Illinois where my great grandmother Rebecca Jane THOMAS married Lorenzo D PRATT. The only other information I have on this family is that thier daughter Rebecca was born in Lebanon, Ohio ( oral family recollection No proof)

Knowing some of the history of Ellsworth, the time period they lived there and Thomas's occupation I feel that there is some interesting information here that I am anxious to know.

Thanks in advance,
