Gove County Kansas Immaculate Conception Cemetery

The Immaculate Conception Parish in Grinnell was a station served by the Capuchin Fathers of Hays as early as 1896. Mass was celebrated in private homes and various business establishments of the city until the first church was erected in 1907. Father Bruno Ziegenfuss was responsible for supervising the first church, serving the parish from Collyer. The earliest burial seems to have been Victoria Tholen in 1911.
