Celestine A. "Celly" Spies

U.S. VETERAN WWII:

Celestine A. "Celly" Spies, 83, died Friday, July 24, 2009.

He was born April 20, 1926, in St. Peter to August J. Spies and Anna (Braun) Spies.

He married Betty R. Ullrich on Feb. 10, 1973, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a U.S. veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Duane Spies; two daughters, Judy Johnson, and Sarah Miller; a step-son, Mark Ullrich; two step-daughters, Jill Stovall and Gail Cunningham; three brothers; Wilfred Spies, August Spies Jr., and William Spies; four sisters, Martina Werth, Margaret Billinger, and Albena Billinger and Elaine Cisneros.

He was preceded in death by two sons, David Spies and Freddie Spies.
