Thelma A. Stites:

Thelma A. Stites, 91, WaKeeney, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at The Lutheran Home, WaKeeney. She was born Oct. 17, 1916, in rural Graham County to Newton L. and Elizabeth Pearl (Brown) Beecher. She married Ray Nelson Stites on April 30, 1933, in Hill City. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1991. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Stites, a sister, Violet Denio, five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Jean.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; an Order of Eastern Star committal service will follow; burial in Prairie Home Cemetery, rural Graham County.
