Patti Sohn

 

SOHN
 
Converse Sohn was born in Liberty Center, Ohio in 1858.  His parents were Henry Sohn (born in Pennsylvania) and Lucinda Harbaugh (born in Ohio).
 
Converse moved to Anthony, Kansas in approximately 1880.  He worked in a general store.  He married Mary Seifert in Anthony in 1888.  Converse and Mary had one son.  Converse died 1936 and is buried at Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony.
 
Their son Fred Sohn married Grace Martin from Harper, Kansas in 1919.  Fred and Grace moved to Wichita.  They had one son, Ron, born in Wichita.  Ron married Wanda Cline from Wichita.  They moved to St. Louis and had five children, Daryl, Dan, David, Cindy and Doug.  Wanda is still living, as are her five children. 
 
SEIFERT
 
Mary Seifert was born in Washburn, Illinois in 1868.  Her parents were Fred Seifert from Germany and Catherine Lidig from Bavaria, Germany. 
 
Mary moved to Anthony, Kansas in 1883.  Her parents worked a farm 3 miles south of Anthony.  Mary married Converse Sohn in Anthony in 1888.  They had one son.  She died in 1943 and is buried at Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony.

MARTIN
 
Emil Martin was born in Harper, Kansas.  His father was Harry/Henry, a physician who moved to Kansas from New York.  Harry’s father (Von Martin) was from the Russian/German border region.  His mother was from France.  Harry married Mary Farrell (O’Farrell) who was born in Ireland.  They were married in New Orleans.
 
Emil married Anna Taral.  He died in 1947 and is buried at Calgary Cemetery in Wichita.
 
They lived in Harper and had two girls, Marie and Grace.  Grace married Fred Sohn of Anthony.  They had one son, Ron while living in Wichita.  Ron married Wanda Cline from Wichita.  They moved to St. Louis and had five children, Daryl, Dan, David, Cindy and Doug.  Wanda is still living, as are her five children. 
 
TARAL
 
Anna Taral was born in 1872 in Illinois.  Her parents were Frank Taral, born in 1833 and Catherine Fries, born in 1845. 
 
Anna married Emil Martin.  They had two girls, Marie and Grace.  Grace married Fred Sohn of Anthony.  They had one son, Ron, while in Wichita.  Ron married Wanda Cline from Wichita.  they moved to St. Louis and had five children, Daryl, Dan, David, Cinty and Doug.  Wanda is still living, as are her five children.
