- Oustott - Knesek. A marriage of
interest to Newton friends occurred April first, when Miss Kathryn E. Knesek,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Knesek, Sr., of Sparks, Okla, became the bride
of George C. Onstott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Miller of Wichita. The
bride is a graduate of Sparks High School and also attended Central State
college. She is employed as secretary to Owen Chaffin, general manager,
Wichita Aero Parts Mfg. company. The bridegroom grew up in the Newton
vicinity and moved to Wichita in 1935. He graduated from North High
School and is now foreman of the night shift at Wichita Aero Parts company.
A reception for the newly wedded couple was held at the Miller home in Wichita
Sunday. Guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller and Miss Edith Carter
of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. lee Onstott and daugher Joan, and Mrs. Hattie Onstott
of Hesston; and Mrs. Ben J. Saore and daughter Beverly of Chicago. Mr.
and Mrs. Onstott are at home to their friends at 445 Indiana Ave., Wichita.

- Unruh, Zelda & Wedel, T.J. - Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Unruh and son, Clarence of St. John, Kansas came Sunday to visit relatives
and attend the wedding of Miss Zelda Unruh to Mr. T. J. Wedel. (The Newton Kansan - Thursday, September 26, 1915).
- Williams, A.M. More than one
hundred relatives and friends gathered a the home of A.M. Williams Sunday to
help Mr. and Mrs. Williams celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary.
They have resided in this community, south of of Halstead, their entire
married life. Light refreshments were served to those who called.
Out of town callers were Mrs. Charles Nelson of Winemucco, Nevada; Mr. and
Mrs. Roland Williams and son Dean of Hutchinson; Mr. and Mrs. O.P. Williams of
Ulysses; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Williams and children of Chickasha, Okla.; Mr.
and Mrs. Zannie Armour of Wichita; Mrs. Tom Dudle of Pueblo; Mrs. Ed Carble of
Sedgwick; and Mrs. Ed Simmons of Tulia, Texas. (The Evening
