ATTENTION
WE HAVE A NEW QUERY SYSTEM

Our Skyways server has recently made available to all KSGenWeb counties a new query board. This board permits you, the originator of the query, to read all queries posted there and/or post and edit your own queries.

Click on the following query page link and you will go to that new location. Your web browser is all that you need. All first time users will be given the option to view the files as a guest. Simply click on the county of interest and a drop down menu of messages will appear. Click on any message of interest.

All first time user who wish to post a message to a county are requested to complete the information asked for. This is to enable the system to identify you for future posts and/or to enable you to edit a post that you may have added earlier.

If you are "posting" a query for Hodgeman County be sure you click on Hodgeman County before clicking on the POST link on the menu bar. This will assure that your message is posted in the Hodgeman County pages.

For a time, I will be copying the posts from the new board to the query pages at the Hodgeman County KSGenWeb site. The older queries will remain on the Hodgeman County web site for future researchers to peruse.

If you have any problems or questions concerning the new system please contact the County Host

Tips for creating a good query:

Example:

THARP, William
Seeking obituary or burial information on William Tharp, b. 5 Aug 1814 in Indiana, d. 5 Dec 1895. William last appeared on the 1880 Chautauqua Co., Kansas census in Salt Creek Twp. His daughter Polly Ann Tharp married Simon P. KREPPS in Chautauqua County 6 April 1886 they later lived in Oklahoma. William's date of death came from a family Bible, but it gave no state, town or cemetery. Would appreciate corresponding and sharing with anyone having information on the William Tharp or Simon Krepps families.
