Looking for more information on Julius C. and Priscilla ROBISON family. Julius' father, William R. ROBISON died in Jewell Co, KS 22 Aug 1891 according to probate records filed in Golden, Jefferson Co., CO. 1900 Census lists Julius/Priscilla and 3 children: Anna S., Laura L. and Julius C. living in Vicksburg. 1910 and 1920 Census lists Julius (age 88)/Priscilla(age 77) living in Grant. I assume both died in Jewell county. What area newspapers would have carried an obituary in 1891 for William R. Robison?

Here is a notation I have.
D. Nickerson was one of the first settlers of Jewell County, KS who came in April 1871. Would this be something that could be located in a different section of the County History?
Also, is Nickerson, Reno, KS a possible place to try and find the family I want to locate?

I am searching for the David Nickerson families that lived in Jewell County, KS I believe they were in Grant twp in the mid-1800's. The wife was Charlotte M. (White) Nickerson born in 1831 Maine. I don't know if any of them are buried in the county.

Topic: Birth information for Abraham Holmes Martin

My husband's grandfather was Abraham Holmes Martin, born 28 March 1874 in Jewell County, Kansas. His parents were Alexander Constantine and Martha Jane Holmes Martin. I am trying to find some proof that they lived in the county during this time period. In 1870, they were in Madison County, Iowa and in 1880, they were in Newaygo County, Michigan. Perhaps, a tax record or a mention of the name in the local newspaper would get the proof I need.
