I am looking information on my Uncle who passed away in Parsons KS on Jan 31, 1921. It is not known if he lived there for any length of time. His name is  Leo Armstrong (first name may have been Francis) b. April 1897 in Chillicothe Mo, d. Jan 31, 1921 in Parson KS. Buried in Chillicothe MO. I believe there was a TB hospital in Parsons where he may been receiving treatment. Also there may have been some relatives there that he was staying with. Their last name would have been Conway or McCarthy.

I am looking for an ancestor of mine (great-grandfather) by the name of Dr. VanDePlank. He may have gone by Dr. Plank. He moved to Parsons between 1871 and 1885. He would have been a member of a Baptist Church, most likely. My father, now deceased, tells me that he once treated Jesse James. NOT that he want to, but as a doctor he had no choice.
