Lincoln's
Golf Course
Is Laid Out

Lincoln Sentinel, Sept. 13, 1923
One more excellent 9 hole golf course has been added to the list of Kansas courses. Roy Campbell, Salina country club pro, has just laid out a course at Lincoln, said to be one of the best natural courses in the state. The course comprises a 55-acre tract of rolling prairie, buffalo grass and natural hazards. A stone house will be fitted for a clubhouse. The course lies 1˝ miles northeast of the city and is 2,700 yards long. Par is 34 and bogey is 39. Mr. Campbell says it will test any golfer’s skill to make the course in par.
A country club has been organized at Lincoln with a membership of 65. Mr. Campbell recently laid out a course at Russell and made changes in other Kansas courses. – The Salina Daily Union
