Obituary of MARY CARTWRIGHT
Funeral services for Mary Cartwright, 82, were held Friday morning at Parkview Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Roy Keller officiating.

Born May 24, 1917, at Marion, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Ratzlaff) Reimer. She was raised in the Hillsboro community.

While working at Boeing in Wichita she married ted Niederhouse and the couple had two children, daughter Loretta and son Jim. The marriage was dissolved.

She was married to Floyd M. Cartwright in 1957 at Wichita. Following retirement, they moved to a small farm near Parsons. After her husband's death in 1978 she moved to Oklahoma.

She was diagnosed as having Alzheimer's disease eight years ago. She died Feb. 8, 2000, at Sandpiper Bay Health Care Center in Wichita.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Linda Jost and brother John Reimer.

Survivors include son James Neiderhouse of Greenwood, Ind.; daughter, Loretta J. Sellens, Wichita; sister, Luella Jost, Hillsboro; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Lowell Jost, Ken Koslowsky, Paul Epps, Reno Penner, Jared Jost, and Ty Zeimer.

Carla Koslowsky was the organist with vocal music by the Lighthouse Quartet.

Memorial funds have been established in her name with Alzheimer's Research.
