| Obituary of ROBERT RANEY LAUGHRIDGE |
| Robert Raney Laughridge, 87, retired
welder/mechanic and former Cedar Point fire chief, died Feb. 1 at Peabody
Community Living Center. Services were held Feb. 5 at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with Ira Wiley officiating. Burial was at Grant Township Cemetery, rural Marion. He was born June 14, 1912, to Edward B. Laughridge and Cleo Ice northeast of Cedar Point. On Dec. 23, 1941, he was married to Hattie Rosiere Whitford, who survives. He is also survived by a brother, Frank Laughridge, of San Mateo, Calif. A memorial fund has been established for Youthville United Methodist in Newton. |
